The last year has seen our Academy players compete in some of the most competitive competitions across Europe (including the UEFA Youth League), Premier League International Cup, and other various tournaments across the continent.
Why do we only have 1 camera for filming training or games on the pitch outside the main door of Lennoxtown instead of multiple to ensure we are seeing everything and not some pretty poor-quality footage from 1 vantage point? You cannot recreate that atmosphere on a training pitch — no matter how modern the facilities or how talented the coaches may be. It is played by experienced defenders who have no interest in protecting a young player’s confidence and midfielders who will compete for every loose ball as though their livelihoods depend on it.
A talented Celtic academy prospect is already attracting interest from Spain’s top flight.
